Mike Cummings presented to the group the website's virtual brick feature, how to access the feature as well as a new offering of placing a veterans' picture behind the virtual brick. GLVFA member Mike Cummings presented an overview of the GLVFA website, detailing its specific areas of interest to members as well as the memorial, golf event, and brick garden.
Officer Clayton Heitt of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission will be the guest speaker this month. He will present on the latest state and federal fisheries and wildlife laws that protect local threatened and endangered species and habitats; how captive and nonnative wildlife are managed in our area, and an overview of fish and wildlife crimes. GLVFA held its annual Appreciation Day (R&R) on Saturday afternoon. Grants were handed out, with Congressman Bilirakis in attendance as the guest speaker.
